A LITTLE ABOUT US

Mae’s Mission for Recovery was formed in memory of Emily Mae Meyers.

Emily was a former patient at Central DuPage Hospital Behavioral Health Services (BHS). During her time at BHS she was known to be supportive of other patients even if she didn’t feel well herself. Mae’s Mission for Recovery was formed to keep Emily’s caring legacy alive.

Her caring legacy is carried on by the holiday care packages provided to patients six times a year. These packages include a blanket, coloring book, puzzle book, journal, colored pencils, pens, gum and more. Mae’s Mission also provides welcome goodie bags to each patient coming in to BHS. These bags include a journal, pen, stress ball, gum and a fidget toy along with a message of encouragement.

Mae’s Mission also provides clothing for patients who may need extra items, and staff appreciation breakfast.

Mae’s Mission for Recovery is dedicated to supporting BHS patients and families during each person’s recovery journey.
